Before you cancel
Check the receipt for a recurring Pro purchase versus a license that never renews. Save a local copy of recordings important to your work.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Cap

- Sign into Cap and inspect the paid plan associated with the receipt.
- Use the available plan-management controls to stop the recurring subscription.
- If the cancellation route is unavailable, contact hello@cap.so with the account email and request a confirmed plan end date.
- Keep the confirmation and check that no recurring Pro renewal remains.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Cap's pricing page says existing shared recordings remain active after Pro cancellation and recordings can still be exported. Free supports local recording; one-time licenses have no recurring renewal to stop.
Cancellation and refunds
The pricing page does not state a universal cancellation refund. Ask Cap to review the specific Pro charge or license purchase rather than treating these as the same billing product.
Common questions
Must I cancel Cap's one-time license every year?
No. The pricing page describes the one-time license as non-renewing. Verify which product you purchased, because a separate recurring cloud plan still needs its own cancellation.
