How to Cancel Cognito Forms Subscription
Cancel a paid Cognito Forms organization plan by changing it to Individual.

Before you cancel
Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Cognito Forms
Purchased directly from Cognito Forms
- Open the organization’s Settings.
- Choose Plan & Billing.
- Select Individual and Change Plan.
- Complete the downgrade reason and confirmation, then check the resulting plan.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- The organization moves to the Free Individual plan. Check its current limits and test important forms after the change; do not assume all paid capabilities remain until renewal.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
