Before you cancel
Back up your content. Review domains and Google Workspace services hosted through Format, and arrange any required transfer before canceling Portfolio.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Format
Purchased directly from Format
- Sign in to Format and open Settings.
- Choose Subscription.
- Select Cancel and complete the confirmation.
- Record the paid-through date and confirm what will happen to connected services.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- The website and dashboard remain available until the paid period ends. Format says a deactivated site is archived for 12 months; contact support if you need the site taken offline sooner.
Cancellation and refunds
Format’s cancellation article does not offer a refund for ordinary cancellation. Ask support to review a disputed charge separately.
