How to Cancel Hippo Video Subscription

Before you cancel
Download important videos and review which paid tools your team uses. Decide whether you want to end the plan or accept the separately offered temporary pause.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Hippo Video

- Open Settings from the left navigation, or More and then Settings, and select Subscriptions.
- At the bottom right, choose Cancel or pause subscription.
- To end the plan, continue to Cancel Subscription at the bottom instead of selecting Pause Subscription.
- Fill in the requested details and confirm Cancel Subscription.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- The help article says cancellation automatically moves the account to Free. Review the confirmation's timing and resulting capabilities before relying on premium video features.
Cancellation and refunds
The official guide describes a refund based on the applicable prorated ratio, potentially partial or full. Ask support to confirm the calculation for your actual term and payment rather than assuming a fixed amount.
Common questions
Is Hippo Video's two-month pause the same as cancellation?
No. Pause is presented as a separate option in the same dialog. Continue to the final Cancel Subscription action if you want to end the subscription rather than take a temporary break.
