How to Cancel Netlify Subscription
End a Netlify paid credit-based plan by moving the team to Free and reviewing remaining billing items.

Before you cancel
Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Netlify
Purchased directly from Netlify
- As Team Owner, choose the team whose subscription you want to change.
- Open Usage & billing and the plan-management controls.
- Choose the Free plan and review the downgrade conditions.
- Confirm the scheduled change and inspect credit packs, auto recharge and other products separately.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. Unused monthly plan credits, including rollover credits, are removed when the downgrade takes effect.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
Common questions
Is deleting a payment method the same as canceling the plan?
No. Netlify requires another payment method or a free-plan downgrade before payment-method removal. Confirm the plan change itself.
What should I keep after canceling?
Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
