How to Cancel PBS Passport Subscription

Before you cancel

Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.

How to cancel PBS Passport

Purchased directly from PBS Passport

  1. Find the local station on your donation receipt or membership confirmation.
  2. Use the station contact finder linked from the official PBS help page.
  3. Call or email the station and request cancellation of the recurring donation or membership that funds Passport.
  4. Ask the station to confirm the final charge and Passport access end date.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Billing records belong to the local station. Deleting the PBS app or changing a PBS login does not itself stop the station’s recurring donation.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
