Before you cancel
Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Plausible Analytics
Purchased directly from Plausible Analytics
- Open your account name in the upper-right menu and select Account Settings.
- Find Subscription; for a team-owned plan, use the team’s subscription settings.
- Choose Cancel plan and finish confirmation.
- Save the billing-period end date and download the site exports you need.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Stats remain available through the paid period. Afterward dashboards lock, though site settings still allow exports; collection stops one month after locking.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
Common questions
Are historical analytics retained permanently after cancellation?
No. Plausible may delete sites and stats after paid access ends and says it emails beforehand. An active-plan retention allowance is not a guarantee for a canceled account.
What should I keep after canceling?
Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
