How to Cancel Sudowrite Subscription

Cancel Sudowrite through Manage Membership. Pausing is available for monthly plans and has a separate confirmation step.

Before you cancel

Decide whether you want a temporary pause or to stop renewal. An annual plan does not have the same pause option as a monthly plan.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Sudowrite

Purchased directly from Sudowrite

  1. Sign in and open the settings gear in the upper-right corner.
  2. Choose Manage Membership.
  3. Select cancellation and finish the displayed confirmation.
  4. Check the resulting membership status; contact hi@sudowrite.com if it is unclear.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Canceling stops future billing and plan credit refreshes.
  • Projects and documents remain accessible, but AI features require an active subscription.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Can I pause an annual plan?

Sudowrite’s guide says pausing is available only to monthly subscribers.

Will I still be able to export my writing?

The guide says documents remain viewable and exportable after cancellation.
