How to Cancel Sundance Now Subscription

Cancel Sundance Now in My Account for website card purchases; PayPal and streaming-platform purchases have separate billing controls.

Before you cancel

Find a recent receipt. Sundance Now lists website, Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, and Samsung billing paths.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Sundance Now

Purchased directly from Sundance Now

  1. For a website purchase paid by card, sign in to Sundance Now in a web browser.
  2. Open My Account at the top right.
  3. Under Membership Settings, select Cancel Membership and finish the confirmation.
  4. Save the resulting subscription status and end date.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Sundance Now, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Sundance Now, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Website purchase paid through PayPal

  1. Sign in to the PayPal account used for the Sundance Now purchase.
  2. Find the recurring payment to Sundance Now and cancel it.
  3. Save the PayPal confirmation and check the resulting Sundance Now subscription status.

Sundance Now says it is notified after the recurring PayPal payment is cancelled.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Use the confirmation from the actual billing provider to establish when access ends. A cancelled app installation is not a billing confirmation.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Common questions

What if Amazon or Roku charges me?

Select that provider in the official guide and cancel in its subscription account.

What if I paid on the website using PayPal?

Sundance Now instructs you to cancel its recurring payment in PayPal; otherwise PayPal continues billing.

Can I cancel a website card purchase in the phone app?

No. Use a web browser on your phone, tablet, or computer.
