How to Cancel Synthesia Subscription
Cancel a self-service Synthesia plan in Billing. Export videos first: the current help page warns that access ends after the paid period.

Before you cancel
Download every video you want to keep. Starter and Pro support self-service cancellation; Enterprise agreements require the account team.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Synthesia
Purchased directly from Synthesia
- Open your profile, then Account info, then Billing.
- Open the three-dot menu and select Cancel your subscription.
- Confirm and check the banner stating when access ends.
- If the control is unavailable or you cannot sign in, contact support@synthesia.io.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Access continues to the end of the current billing period.
- Synthesia warns that you then lose access to the service and videos in the account, so export before expiry.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
Common questions
Can I download videos after my paid access ends?
The current help guide says you will no longer be able to access or download them.
Can I cancel an Enterprise agreement in this menu?
Contact your account team for a plan governed by a signed Order Form.
