How to Cancel Trello Subscription
Cancel a Trello Workspace plan on the web. The controls differ between legacy billing and Atlassian centralized billing.

Before you cancel
Sign in as a Workspace administrator. Review boards and collaborators against Free-plan limits before changing a shared workspace.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Trello
Purchased directly from Trello
- Select the Trello logo, choose the paid Workspace, and open Billing.
- For legacy billing, use Cancel at the bottom of the billing page and finish confirmation.
- For centralized billing, choose Change plan, select Free, and confirm the scheduled downgrade.
- Save the effective date for that Workspace.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Paid features remain until the current billing period ends.
- Only the ten most active boards stay open on Free; other boards close without being deleted. Collaborator limits can make boards view-only.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Contact the assigned account advocate or Trello Support about that agreement.
