How to Cancel Ultimate Guitar Subscription

Cancel Ultimate Guitar renewal on the desktop website or the original app store. Review Pro, Courses, and Songbooks separately.

Before you cancel

Use the desktop website for a web plan; its subscription list may not appear on the mobile site. Check whether you are ending a paid period or a trial.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Ultimate Guitar

Purchased directly from Ultimate Guitar

  1. Sign in on the desktop website and open Subscriptions in the left menu.
  2. Select the relevant product, then Details, then Manage.
  3. Turn off auto-renewal or cancel the trial, complete confirmation, and submit the reason.
  4. Verify Auto-Renew Off for a paid plan and save the confirmation offered after cancellation.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Ultimate Guitar, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Ultimate Guitar, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Billed by Huawei AppGallery

  1. Open the official Ultimate Guitar article and follow its Huawei AppGallery cancellation link.
  2. Use the Huawei purchase account, finish cancellation, and save the result.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Paid access continues to the end of the billing period.
  • Trial cancellation ends access immediately. A pause can resume renewal later.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Select and review each product independently in Subscriptions.
