Before you cancel
Check whether you pay for a personal plan or use a team-managed seat. Note the renewal date and keep a copy of your latest invoice.

How to cancel Windsurf
Purchased directly from Windsurf
- Open the official Windsurf cancellation page linked below.
- Sign in to the billing account and follow the displayed plan-cancellation prompts.
- Check the resulting plan status and effective date. If the plan belongs to a team, ask its billing administrator to review it.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Use the account’s confirmation to establish when paid access ends.
- Removing the editor from your computer is not a record of canceled billing.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
