How to Cancel Runway Subscription
Cancel a Runway web plan from its billing page and complete the final confirmation in Stripe. An Apple purchase follows the App Store route instead.

Before you cancel
Check which account or workspace contains the paid plan. Keep a copy of the current invoice and note any purchased credit balance.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Runway
Runway website
- Open the billing page for your paid account.
- Select Cancel plan and proceed through the feedback screen.
- Choose Continue to cancel plan, then confirm cancellation in Stripe.
- Check the Expires on date back in Runway.
Billed by Apple
- Open the Apple subscriptions list for the Apple Account on your receipt and select Runway.
- Choose the cancellation option, complete confirmation, and record the expiry date.
Use this route only when Apple billed the purchase. A website payment made on an iPhone is not necessarily an App Store subscription.
Open provider pageMake sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Paid features remain until the current period ends.
- Existing assets and projects remain in the account; free-plan restrictions apply afterward.
- Purchased credits remain until spent, but the current plan determines which features you can use.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation stops renewal; it does not by itself return a previous payment. Ask the company that billed you to review the charge and provide its current refund terms.
Common questions
Why is Cancel plan disabled?
Runway says this can mean cancellation is already scheduled. Check the displayed expiry date.
Does canceling the plan delete my projects?
No. Account deletion is a separate action.
